Nicotine Test Urine

Nicotine Test Urine

This test detects recent use of tobacco products:

Additional Information:

Drugs: The Cotinine Drug Test (Nicotine Metabolite) (Urine) will identify the presence or absence of cotinine in a urine sample. This laboratory-based test includes a routine screen for the presence of cotinine, as well as any necessary confirmation testing. Cotinine may be detected in urine for up to 7-10 days after the most recent nicotine use or exposure. A confirmed positive result for cotinine is considered evidence of use or exposure in that time period.

It is important to note that this test will not distinguish between use of cigarettes, vapes, or nicotine replacement therapy products.

This test requires a urine sample that can be collected at one of our locations of your choice.

This panel includes a routine screen for cotinine. Positive screen results are confirmed by GC/MS or LC-MS/MS. The confirmation tests identify the specific substances present in the sample with their amounts.

All the screen results are confirmed at no additional charge.

Screening and confirmatory tests are performed to ensure accurate results.

The test results are reviewed by a Medical Doctor/Medical Review Officer (MRO).
